Today as I drove around Villa Park, IL looking for a Forest Preserve, I saw this house. It's an amazing replicas of a Frank Lloyd Wright Prairie Style home.
The detail is amazing. If it didn't look so new, I would have sworn it was an original. Just to be sure I checked my book of FLW homes (the complete catalog by William Storrer.) Just as I expected, it wasn't listed.
How cool is that! FLW's design deserves repeating. I wonder if they were faithful to the interior and the furnishings? Wouldn't that be great. One of these fine days, I'm gonna come to Chicago with a bike and camera and we're gonna do the tour. :)
ReplyDeleteFrom what I could see, standing on the street I think the interior was fairly authentic. The back room seemed to be open like the originals. Grady you come to Chicago and we'll do an Oak Park bike tour.
